Based in the Day of Defeat: Source modification of Half-life 2, our gamers actually come from a wide variety of gaming backgrounds, and the age, location, and personality range are something even more fantastic. 2008-11-26: This is a message from the current [GoochAssassins] clan leaders, Beefy and Roachy, to all [GA] community members, clan members and pubs alike.
The time has come to reorganize the [GA] administration. Beefy and Roachy can no longer keep up with the day to day operations of the [GA] server and member-base. Therefore we are expanding the group of clan leaders to include [GA] Otter and [GA] Killroy as well. They will be able to handle whatever you need and will have the same powers and decision-making authority as Beefy and Roachy.
We are also incorporating a new group of 'senior admins', which will be listed on the Clan Members page with the other membergroups. We've decided to make the admin tags mandatory. Senior admins will have a *?O* tag at the end of their name and regular admins will have a *O* tag at the end of their name.
Along with these changes we are going to start more strictly enforcing existing [GA] rules and policies. If you are not familiar with these, it would be a very good idea to go read over all of the basic rules on the MOTD and the other policies posted in the Policies forum.
[GA] is no longer going to be the romper room server it has become. We seem to have garnered a reputation for being the server people come to when they want to completely misbehave and cause trouble. This is not the type of community we are, nor will it ever be. We have tried to run our server with very few rules, but as we have grown, so has this problem.
Therefore we are not going to put up with the immature and disrespectful talk and actions that have been going on lately. That kind of thing, that lack of even the most basic common sense, tact, and etiquette is going to end as of this post. We expect out great community to respect and follow our admins and rules, just as we expect our admins to uphold the rules, be fair, and not abuse their power in any way. So please know that if an admin asks a player to chill out and they don't listen, they're gone, not kicked, or temp-banned... they're perma-banned. If they can't respect our community, they can go find another to disrupt.
[GA] is the best all-around community for DOD:S on the net and we are going to keep it that way. Thanks for your time, see you on the server ;]
