    New Server!

    Hey everybody, if it hasn't leaked through the grapevine to you yet, you should know that we have purchased a new dedicated server machine from our current host! It's a much better box, and we're getting a better deal on everything as well!

    Here's the basic specs:

    Intel Yorkfield Q9400 2.66GHz Quad-core CPU
    4GB of RAM (but we're using a 32-bit OS, so it's really like 3.5GB, good enough though!)
    Windows 2003 Enterprise R2
    Unmetered bandwidth/mo.
    10Mbps symmetrical connection

    The old server was a dual single core Opteron 244 CPU, with 4GB RAM.

    The IP will stay the same! So no worries. However today, and possibly tomorrow the server will be down while we transfer everything, so please no "where's mah server" threads just yet! Thanks.

    To whom it may concern, we are switching from Mani's admin mod to strictly Sourcemod, which is MUCH better supported, documented, configurable, AND expandable.

    Other than that, nothing will change, although we may start doing some more experimenting with running other games, since it will be a lot easier.

    If you guys need another server to play on temporarily, I have setup a DoDS server on campus (with permission from our network admin). It is located at 136.176.70.245:27015, and is titled "Bradley University Internet2 DoD:S". It is also a nice server to play on for anyone on an I2 connection, as you'll get a <10 ping.

    Let me know what you guys think, and have fun!
